Choripan is a very popular Argentinian sandwich made from chorizo (sausage). It is usually served with Argentinian chimichurri sauce.
It's name comes from it's two main ingredients; chorizo and pan (bread). Try the Choripan recipe below and you'll have another meat to throw on your grill.
- 1 Sausages Per Person
- Baguette or Classic Hot Dog Roll, Toasted
- Chimichirri Sauce
Poke a few holes in the chorizo sausages and place on a hot grill until fully cooked. Remove chorizo from grill and cut in half lengthwise. Return the chorizo to the grill and cook, cut side down, for 2-3 minutes or until slightly charred.
Lightly toast the baguette or hot dog roll.
Place a tablespoon or more of chimichurri salsa on the baguette or hot dog bun, spread and then add the chorizo sausage. Top with additional chimichurri.
