A bombilla is a type of straw used to drink yerba mate, a traditional South American infused drink. After adding the yerba mate into the yerba mate gourd, the bombilla is inserted for sipping. The bombilla usually contains a filter which allows the infusion to be drank without the yerba mate leaves and stems clogging the bombilla.
