King Kong San Roque

Peru's Classic Sweet

King Kong is a classic and very popular Peruvian candy. Typically it consists of two or three layers of cookies filled in between with manjar blanco or Peruvian milk candy. Some variations include manjar blanco, pineapple jam and in some cases peanuts.

The name King Kong, originates from the famous motion picture, King Kong. Peruvians compared the oversized sized dessert with the enormous fictional gorilla. Today there are many companies that specialize in making this Peruvian sweet, but the most recognized is San Roque.
